In 1947, Milt Jackson appeared
on some of the first recordings of Thelonious Monk at Blue
Note, and he laid down his first sides as a leader for the
label in 1948. This image was taken during a rare appearance
on the label as a sideman in 1957 during Hank Mobley's second
session as a leader Hank Mobley and His All Stars. |
