Hank Mobley was featured on the first Jazz Messengers record (Blue Note 1518) and again with the Messengers briefly in 1959. This image, taken during the session for Soul Station, marked the return of Hank Mobley as a leader in 1960 for what was one of only two dates he led as a quartet.
